A garage roof may need a local repair, a new covering or a wider scope that includes damaged underlying material. The outside appearance does not establish which. Start by describing where the leak appears, how often it returns and whether the roof has already been patched.
The building also matters. Tell us whether the garage is attached to the house, what it is used for and whether the working area can be cleared. Existing rooflights, walls and neighbouring structures can affect access and the junctions that need attention.

Felt, rubber and fibreglass are options within our flat-roof work, not interchangeable packages with identical installation requirements. Ask for the proposed specification, associated roof detail and exclusions. A low covering-only price may leave important work outside the agreement.
Raise roof-sheet concerns before disturbing anything
Do not break, drill or lift old sheets to identify them. A photograph alone is not a reliable asbestos assessment. Where asbestos is suspected, the material and appropriate next steps need to be established before replacement work is planned.

For the first conversation, send safe photographs of the whole garage and the affected area. Include previous paperwork if you have it and say whether the garage is currently in use. Do not go onto the roof to supply measurements.

Can a leaking garage roof be repaired?
Sometimes. A local defect with a suitable surrounding covering and deck may allow a repair. Repeated failures, widespread deterioration or concealed damage can change that decision.
Do you replace flat garage roofs?
Yes. Garage-roof repairs and replacement are part of our services, with felt, rubber or fibreglass options considered where suitable for the particular roof.
What if the garage has old roof sheets?
Tell us before any work is arranged. Do not disturb suspected asbestos-containing material. Appropriate identification and specialist advice may be needed; Ashurst is not advertised here as an asbestos-removal contractor.
Can I see a price online?
A useful price depends on the measured roof, access, covering and what needs replacing beneath it. Our guide explains quote inclusions, but a generic online figure is not a quote for your garage.
